About Us

Colin Carmichael began his apprenticeship as a small engine mechanic in 1981 and has been repairing and servicing lawn and garden power equipment for well over 30 years, most of which being spent in mower shops as either mechanic, head mechanic or shop manager. Over twenty years ago he started a part-time business picking up equipment for repairs and service. The process of picking up and delivering back to his customers was just too time consuming and led to customers waiting too long for their equipment and he felt there had to be a better way.

Colin also became obsessed in wanting to deliver outstanding customer service in every way and to do this, who better to ask, than you the customer.

His first question was “What will keep my customers coming back again and again?” He asked this question hundreds of times and it soon became clear. Colin was thinking that he would need to do hundreds of different things to keep his customers happy, but that was not the case because in reality it boiled down to 12 requirements with what his customers wanted and here they are:

1. I would like to be sure my equipment is being serviced or repaired as best as it can be.

2. I don’t want you, the mower shop to make me feel like you are doing me a favour by serving me and my equipment.

3. I would like to be sure I am not paying too much.

4. I would like value for my money.

5. I would like my equipment to be repaired or serviced as soon as possible.

6. I would like to be treated with respect.

7. I would like to be served by any concerns I have.

8. And this is a BIG one. If I have any problems with my equipment after I have paid for it, I would like to know that the after sales service I should expect would be there and acted on quickly.

9. I would like good reliable old fashioned service as I find it hard to come by these days.

10. I would like to know how much my equipment will cost to be repaired or serviced, before work commences.

11. I would like to know if my equipment is worth repairing or will last so I do not waste my money.

12. I would like to deal with the same person so they know who I am.

Of course there are probably more than 12 requirements because everyone is different and that is why we strive for constant and never ending improvement.

Our aim is to provide our customers with excellent customer service along with high quality repairs at their home, property or business.
